Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in his signature style. Avery Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and at festivals in Europe, as well as her appearance at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's real name is Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by playing the piano and singing at church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B musical scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was called Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan; it has been remixed since by many producers and remains the mainstay of her live set. The singer has also provided her vocals for The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. The band was hired as the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her voice and her music, invited Sunshine to sing in the Dreamgirls show during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention during four daily performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
