Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born August 25, 1949) is an American television chef and host. She was also a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond hair and an ebullient persona, shows how to prepare restaurant-style meals in your home with simple techniques. Chef Burrell has also worked at many of the best eateries within New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy and competed in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell was born living in New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America is where she enrolled to earn an English diploma and Communications certificate from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute that I was a student of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was a fantastic location to learn. Following graduation, Burrell spent one year studying in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. She gained a deeper appreciation of Italian culture and cuisine throughout her time in Italy that has informed her style of cooking. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens children who are facing difficulties. She also serves as a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she is an advocate for children with diabetes and awareness. In her capacity as a guest speaker and teacher she travels across the United States to discuss her love for cooking and profession. Anne has said throughout her culinary career that she feels so fortunate to be able share with others what is essential for her.
