Sasha Allen has been the sole transgender person who has reached The Battle Rounds of The Voice Live Shows. This has been true over the course of 21 seasons. The Newtown, Conn. duo is now in the Top 8 of the competition! Sasha revealed that he's transgender when they presented their audition packages at the Blind Auditions. According to Parade.com it was an easy decision. Sasha made the transition in highschool, and admitted that it was difficult to share such the vulnerable part of him before so many individuals. "But [last week during Fan Week], watching how people's responses to the event and how that has impacted people really showed that the decision was worthwhile and it was the right move, although it was hard to come up with." "'Have you ever Seen the Rain' is one of the songs that was included on the list of songs that we've been wanting to perform on The Voice for quite a many years," Sasha told Parade.com. We performed the song prior to The Voice even existed. After we got it, we were ecstatic. The song was one we already knew, and we had many concepts to create. It was quite amazing that the crowd hit the nail on the head."
